Firstly, the game has started development, and this isn’t the case in which the game is greenlit. The upcoming game for SNK is a big release. Hence the game will take a while before being shown in public. The developers are taking extra care, ensuring it is perfect before prime time.
As per Oda-san, when he returned to SNK in 2014, he told the president Eikichi Kawasaki that he wanted to make a new Garou game. It took a while but want to bring the game was one of his goals. According to the team, there will be more focus on the single-player mode compared to the recent releases.
Oda-san also acknowledges the time gap between the games, and they have a few plans to overcome confusion. When asked about bringing back the old titles, Oda-san didn’t directly confirm it. However, he confirmed Terry Bogard coming back in the game.
Make sure you read the original post since they plan on releasing more interviews regarding the game and The King of Fighters XV. New Fatal Fury doesn’t have a release date or confirmed consoles yet. Check this space for more info in the future.
