Gamers Owe Their Thanks To u/Tangoteds
The ability to modify the program and add in one’s own material is one of the many capabilities unique to the PC release of Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Reddit member u/Tangoteds made good use of this fact by making an in-game recreation of the Miles Morales 10th anniversary outfit to commemorate the game’s tenth anniversary of the character’s introduction. A slew of images of Miles sporting the costume in-game was uploaded to users’ social media posts, where they expressed their enthusiasm for the outfit’s potential for modeling and modding.
Several comments praised Tangoteds’ development of the add-on. In response, one user expressed optimism that Insomniac Games would implement the outfit in Spider-Man 2 for PlayStation 5. A second commenter praised the slimmer cut but criticized the collar, noting that it appeared nicer in the comics. As a response to this thread, Tangoted said that a turtleneck-less variant of the outfit would be included in the versions of the modification for Spider-Man Remastered. He went on to say that the mod support for Miles Morales’s version of Spider-Man is not in the best shape right now, so they wouldn’t be adding it just yet.
Spider-Man, The PC version of Miles Morales, is a welcome addition since it gives fans of the original Marvel Spider-Man the ability to enjoy the title and customize it to their liking with the help of modifications. The franchise’s popularity has spawned other PlayStation partnerships, such as Insomniac Games’ forthcoming Marvel’s Wolverine adventure.
Insomniac Games is now swamped with developing games for the Ratchet & Clank series, Marvel’s Wolverine, and Marvel’s Spider-Man. It remains to be seen where Marvel’s cooperation with Playstation will go, but perhaps the two will continue to work together to create games that gamers like.
