Cyberpunk 2077 has seen some great resurgence in the last couple of weeks. With Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime by Studio Trigger rising to critical acclaim, and the game receiving its 1.6 Edgerunner updates, many have flocked back to the title. The resurgence went so well that the title crossed 100,000+ all-time player peak on Steam.
The other reason for people to take an interest is thanks to the announcement of the upcoming DLC. Called Phantom Liberty, the DLC expansion will take place in a new location previously unexplored in-game. Additionally, the game crossed its 20 million sales milestone.

Naturally, with such astounding success coming from all faucets of the internet, CD Projekt RED is bound to enjoy the results (Via VGC). As per the company, the resurgence of Cyberpunk 2077 helped the company to achieve record results for the third financial quarter. It ends on September 30th, the company claimed.
The chief financial officer Piotr Nielubowicz spoke about the success.
“In terms of financials, this was the best third quarter in our entire history. With consolidated revenues at 246 million PLN [$54.6m]– mostly owing to strong sales of Cyberpunk–the Group posted 99 million PLN [$21.3m] in net profit,” he said.
“This translates into net profitability of 40% for the whole Group, and a whopping 47% for the CD Projekt Red segment. We carry on with intensive development work on the Cyberpunk expansion, as well as on other projects.”
In other CD Projekt-related news, the studio is currently on hands in creating multiple projects across various studios. This includes a Witcher 1 Remake, a new Cyberpunk game, a new Witcher game and more.
Cyberpunk 2077 is out on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Phantom Liberty, the upcoming expansion for the title will launch in 2023.
