Cyberpunk 2077 has seen some great resurgence in the last couple of weeks. With Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime by Studio Trigger rising to critical acclaim, and the game receiving its 1.6 Edgerunner updates, many have flocked back to the title. The resurgence went so well that the title crossed 100,000+ all-time player peak on Steam.
The other reason for people to take an interest is thanks to the announcement of the upcoming DLC. Called Phantom Liberty, the DLC expansion will take place in a new location previously unexplored in-game. Additionally, the game crossed its 20 million sales milestone.
Naturally, with such astounding success coming from all faucets of the internet, CD Projekt RED is bound to enjoy the results (Via VGC). “This translates into net profitability of 40% for the whole Group, and a whopping 47% for the CD Projekt Red segment. We carry on with intensive development work on the Cyberpunk expansion, as well as on other projects.”
