Insurgency Sandstorm, one of the best tactical shooters out there will be coming to Xbox Game Pass. Developed in 2018, it is a first-person shooter game by New World Interactive. The game continues the legacy of its predecessor, the original Insurgency, which made a significant impact in the realm of tactical shooters.
The game takes place in an unnamed Middle Eastern region strife with war very much like the first game. You’ll be choosing among two teams, namely Security and Insurgents. The former are the military forces with Western and NATO-based weaponry such as the M4A1 while the latter are the Middle Eastern Terrorists with Russian or Chinese weaponry such as the AK-47. Based on the game mode, players will have different objectives to fulfill before the match ends.

On July 5, 2023, Xbox took to Twitter to announce the availability of the game starting from July 11 on PC. A settlement simulation game, Common Hood, will also be released on the same date for Console, Cloud, and PC. However, PC players who recently purchased Insurgency Sandstorm on the Steam Store may feel disappointed by its addition to Game Pass.
Insurgency Sandstorm, a tactical shooter, offers intense Co-Op and PVP modes. Players can engage in thrilling close-quarters gameplay and enjoy a wide range of customization options for both weapons and characters, enhancing the overall gameplay experience. In the sequel, players can mount light vehicles, which adds further depth to the matches. These typically involve 14 v 14 or 8-player Cooperative mode against AI opponents.
July will also feature the addition of Exoprimal, a PvE and PvP-based adventure shooter by Capcom. Furthermore, it is a day-one release. The players take on the challenge of encountering hordes of dinosaurs. Armed with Exo Suits you have to fight endless wargames and compete for victory. Along with Exoprimal, other games such as the Cave, McPixel 3, and Techtonica will also be added to the game pass.
