MultiVersus by Warner Bros. Games have made fighting game fans and casual fans excited. Featuring characters from various titles from Warner Bros., the game got each respective fanbase looking forward to playing the title.

After a successful open beta release last month, the developers are working hard balancing and adding characters. A few days ago, game director Tony Huynh confirmed Bugs Bunny nerfs post-EVO. It seems it is not the only unfortunate news about the game this week.

The developers took over the official Twitter of MultiVersus to confirm that they are delaying the release of season 1 for the game. Officially, the developers were planning to launch the game with season 1. That now doesn’t seem to be the case.

A big thank you to everyone playing MultiVersus. It’s exciting to see so many players enjoying the game and the launch of the Open Beta is just the beginning. (1/3)

Furthermore, Morty from Rick and Morty will not make his way into the game. Morty was to join the title with season 1. Morty is a mixed-skill, projectile-based character the developers introduced him to players last month.

Both Morty and the game’s season 1 release are indefinitely delayed. This is an unfortunate piece of information, as the open beta for the title is not yet available in many countries. Hopefully, the developers sort it out at the earliest.

MultiVersus is currently in open beta for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game also features full cross-play support between all the platforms.
