Spider-Man 2 confirmation by Insomniac Games shook the gaming world. The sequel to Insomniac’s Spider-Man for PC and PlayStation will see both Peter and Miles making a comeback. It will also see the debut of the classic Spider-Man villain Venom making his debut in the universe.

Apart from the original reveal trailer by the studio, we haven’t heard any news regarding the development of the game. This naturally made the fans speculate whether things are okay with Spider-Man 2. After all, the title is eyeing a 2023 release.

Fortunately, Insomniac reassured me that things are fine with the upcoming Spider-Man 2. After a fan expressed their concern regarding the title in a tweet by the developer, the official Twitter account swooped in to calm the minds. The fan speculated that Spider-Man 2 might skip its intended 2023 release.

Don't. We're making good progress and it's still slated for 2023. Showing games takes time, effort, resources, and coordination.

“Don’t (worry). We’re making good progress and it’s still slated for 2023. Showing games takes time, effort, resources, and coordination”, the official Insomniac Games Twitter commented.

Insomniac is currently busy making sure Spider-Man on PC is polished to the core after the PC port received an overwhelmingly positive reception. Furthermore, the developers are gearing up to release Spider-Man Miles Morales on PC in a few months.

While Spider-Man 2 is a year away from release, Spider-Man is currently available on PC and PlayStation.
