According to BBC, the submersible had at least 5 people on board and lost its communication after 1 hour and 45 minutes after going down 12,500 feet under the sea
The Titan was on its way to the location. The location was where the renowned ocean liner died more than a century ago. It was reported overdue on Sunday afternoon, some 435 miles (700 km) south of St. John’s, Newfoundland. The expedition’s leader, OceanGate Expeditions, has been making annual journeys since 2021 to document the Titanic’s deterioration and the surrounding undersea habitat.

North Atlantic launched on Sunday morning. The experts thought that Titan have around a four-day supply of breathable air. However, experts also emphasized that if passengers took precautions to save breathable air they might have saved time for themselves. Furthermore, it is unknown if they are still alive after the sub vanished.
Immediately after the disappearance, rescuers sent ships, planes, and other tools to the location. According to a French research center and the U.S. Coast Guard on Thursday, a deep-diving robot equipped with cameras, lights, and additional arms also joined the effort. The U.S. Coast Guard reported that the Canadian ship that launched the undersea robot has reached the sea floor.
On Thursday at a crucial hour, news of the submersible was the opening story for newscasts all over the world. The Saudi-owned satellite station AI Arabiya broadcasted that the clock which kept a count of predictions about their air supply ran out of time.
