The release of another Call of Duty leak has sparked excitement among gamers, as multiple leakers corroborate the event of the upcoming Call of Duty game that will be coming in 2024. The year 2023, already has Modern Warfare 3 coming late 2023, marking a possible end to the new series.
Leakers have added that the game will be coming, possibly in November 2023. However, a well-known leaker has already tweeted about the setting of the Call of Duty game coming which is coming after Modern Warfare 3. Fans are curious to see the whereabouts of the game through an official announcement.
What do we know about Call of Duty 2024’s setting?
Reddit user u/TheEternalGazed posted on the subreddit r/GamingLeaksAndRumors 4 days ago that the upcoming Call of Duty is going to take place in the gulf war. A tweet by one of the most prominent, Call of Duty leakers, CoD_Perseus is the main source behind this. The game is going to be the next game from Treyarch (the studio behind Black Ops). Gulf War takes place in the early 90s when United Nations face off against Iraq and Saddam Hussein for an oil crisis. Iraq gave threats to invade Kuwait and the UN and NATO countries conducted two operations followed by Iraq War.

Other leakers have also supported this with various claims by calling it a sequel to Cold War. Various gameplay features have also been revealed but none of them are supported with full credibility yet. Some of those features include Sprinting and Sliding, Multiplayer matches of 6v6, and so forth.
Microsoft has currently won the lawsuit resulting in them acquiring Activision-Blizzard much faster. PlayStation players can rest easy as they promised that they are going to bring the game to the console. Other releases may include PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Nintendo’s hardware isn’t at par with the specifications of a Call of Duty game. After Cold War, it is ideal to move on to the Gulf War era, where players will be getting access to modern weapons they already are accustomed to.
