I.G.I. is a short form of I’m Going In, which is a cult classic game from the early 2000s. The first-person shooter title has been played by the vast majority of players from around the world.
Back in 2019, Antimatter Games teased a new I.G.I. game named Origin which was later confirmed with gameplay footage back in September 2022. Thus, raises the question of when people can expect the game to release so that everyone can take a dive into nostalgia.
When can fans expect to I.G.I. Origins release?
In an official post from Antimatter Games, the developers suggest that the game will be arriving on all platforms in 2023. However, if that doesn’t happen, there are chances they will give an update on where they stand with development. This is likely to happen in Summer Gamefest 2023, which usually happens around June every year.
I.G.I. Origins will be taking place during the 1980 cold war era, which was the theme for previous games. Additionally, the game will also feature stealth-based gameplay which was unique for these games.
In terms of graphics I.G.I. Origins also looks pretty promising as shown in the pre-alpha gameplay video. This video gave fans a peak at how the upcoming game will look and sound. Overall it looks gritty and dark which sets the seriousness of the game.
If estimations have to be made, it can be expected that the game will be revealed around June 2023, followed by a release around the Q4 of 2023. From 2019 to 2023, the development is likely to be finished as a lot can happen in years.
