Battlefield 2042 Due For Several Major Modifications

To enhance the gameplay of Battlefield 2042, the publisher has taken user comments into consideration, and substantial updates appear to be on the horizon. Adam Freeman, EA’s development director for Battlefield, delved into great depth on the improvements that are now taking place, as well as those that will be in the pipeline.

Even if Battlefield 2042 gamers are clamoring for additional cars to be available, that’s not an issue that the studio could do immediately since “this would have the possibility to affect our parallel efforts on increasing gameplay efficiency,” said Freeman, while he acknowledged that “we do hear you on this and want to address the matter from several sides”.

What Areas Are Getting An Overhaul

On the company’s website, it’s said that one option to reduce journey distance would be to “adjust the proportion of automobiles among our choice pools.” When EA includes the two-seater, M5C Bolte, in its defensive tank class, for instance, it is looking at how these modifications can affect performance.

Battlefield 2042’s creator recognized earlier in March that the game’s landscapes lacked adequate protection to keep players alive amid flags when they were first set out and an enhanced scorecard was included.

We’ve added some stills below that the studio shared to demonstrate additional coverage barriers for landscapes Kaleidoscope, and Renewal, as well as the height of topography to obstruct sightlines. Additional updates are on the way, several of them are aimed at enhancing the multiplayer realism.

On the Kaleidoscope map, a gazebo is now being replaced by armed installations, such as the one at position “B1.” Dirt is being replaced with green and a razor fence is being erected.

Additionally, in a 128-user tournament, there will only be two assault cars plus aircraft available at any one moment. Rather than seeing 3 panzer or combat choppers at once, Freeman explains, “You’ll only be able to confront two at a time. Machines with a timeout of 1 min will now have a 2-minute cooldown, which is all part of an effort to lower the ferocity of the 128-player game. Many gamers favor 64-player options, which is in line with this trend.

Initially, the emphasis would be on vehicle performance as well as accessibility, which will be implemented in the upcoming release. After that, the group plans to fix the protection plus line of sight concerns on the two locations stated throughout season one. EA would collect further input on Battlefield 2042’s specialties in a few weeks.
