Valorant is a competitive, tactical first-person shooter developed by Riot Games. Aim plays a big part in this game because you have to shoot and kill your opponents, and win rounds. Players generally use a Vandal or Phantom in their buy rounds, or an Operator based on their roles. Crosshair and FPS play an important part, as you need to choose a crosshair that complies with your display and you need to have a high FPS for smoother gameplay resulting in better aim. This article will list ways in which you can improve your aim and climb the ranks of Valorant.
What should you do in order to improve your Valorant aim?
There are various ways through which you can improve your aim in Valorant. In this article, we will list five of them:
- Practice: This is the first and foremost tip for any aspiring player who is trying to improve his Valorant aim. Use the in-game Valorant feature such as Deathmatch, and Range. Put your time in death matches before a competitive game. Use applications such as Aimlab to practice using custom objects.
- Crosshair Placement: Find your crosshair, and make sure it’s always on the head level. With a gun like Vandal, you should be aiming for headshots at any range, and with Phantom, at medium to short range. A way to find out what is the head level, you should look at the bots in the range, align their heads and see what is head level at what range.
- Map Knowledge: Know your map, different maps have different areas and callouts. By learning maps, you should know which angles to pre-fire for a kill or hold angles that are not known by your opponents.
- Isolation: Isolate your opponents in a 1v1. Chances are they won’t be helped by any of their teammates as you’ll be finding them alone. The correct way to do this is to play as a lurker and catch off the enemies 1-by-1 from the back.
- Find correct sensitivity: Get the sensitivity that you’re comfortable with your mouse. Not everyone has the same mouse, so the DPI and Sensitivity won’t be equal for all. What you should do is go into the range and see whether you are over-flicking or under-flicking and check how much difference they have.
