Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros is arguably one of the greatest video game series out there. The series not only popularized the platformer genre of games but also became the cornerstone of Nintendo’s success over the years. Not only that, Mario and his friends have easily turned into a well-known pop-culture phenomenon.
Naturally, Nintendo would try bringing the Italian plumber to the silver screens. While the live-action attempt from the 90s failed miserably, Nintendo would shake hands with American animation studio Illumination to create an animated Super Mario movie.

With the teaser trailer launching last month, the upcoming animated Super Mario movie became a popular meme over the internet.
However, it seems promotional materials got leaked ahead of its planned trailer release today.
Originally posted on 4Chan and later shared by a Twitter user, numerous promotional materials from the upcoming movie were seemingly leaked. Most of it included the original cast of Mario, Peach, and Luigi posing for the poster.

The leak also contained more information, including official character descriptions, a size chart for each character (shown below) and the beginning of the film.

Of course, any of these leaks might as well be fake. Especially, given the origin of the leak. However, judging the character renders and size chart, this seems to be anything but fake.
Whatever the case be, we can only wait for the official trailer to go live and answer our questions.
