Tekken 8 recently came out with its playtest of wide roster of characters to a selected few players across the world. Players have been anticipating, the gameplay of Tekken 8 since its consequent trailers, in the last few months. As far as now, fans have been anticipating playing the game, because of their new features, gameplay, and maps. The Tekken series has never had a detailed story other than the Mishima saga. However, their main aspect lies with their multiplayer gameplay.
Every minute frame, Every button press matters in this 1-versus-1 fighting and arcade game. It is developed by Bandai Namco and Capcom.
Which characters do we get to play in Tekken 8?
A playtest was delivered to our emails, as of July 28, 2023. We have been excited to play this game since its trailers. The playtest quickly drops us into an optional tutorial where it displays the new feature of Heat Smash. Playing on the keyboard did not help us much, but we still managed to get through. The playtest is around 14 GB in size and will not be draining too much on your PC.
Soon enough, we came across what are graphics instability which is understandable. Turning down certain settings to Low and subsequently, starting a match seemed pretty faster.
Here is a list of 16 characters that appear in the Tekken 8 Closed Network Playtest:
- Kazuya Mishima
- Jin Kazama
- King
- Jack-8
- Marshall Law
- Asuka Kazama
- Ling Xiaoyu
- Lili
- Hwoarang
- Lars Alexandersson
- Leroy Smith
- Jun Kazama
- Nina Williams
- Paul Phoenix
- Bryan Fury
- Claudio Serafino
An interesting thing to note is that every character has their own unique card which details the fighting style, height, weight, and nationality of the player. We think it’s an amazing detail looking at King’s towering at 200cm and weighing 147 kilograms.
The game does a brilliant job of portraying the fluid fighting mechanics and heat smash moves. The multiplayer still, however, needs a bit of work which hopefully we will soon see fixed.
