According to insider Tom Henderson, Assassin’s Creed Mirage faced an internal delay, pushing its release from August to October. This decision was reportedly made for undisclosed internal reasons. The delay allows the development team to further refine and polish the game before its anticipated launch in October.
During the Ubisoft Forward Showcase 2023, the highly anticipated game’s release date was officially announced as October 12, 2023. The developer revealed that the game, originally slated for an August release, would be delayed by two months, ensuring that it meets the highest quality standards before its launch in October.
It seems like AC Mirage has been internally delayed from August to October. Nexus, AC's VR offering has also been delayed a couple of months.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage revealed. What to expect?
Assassin’s Creed Mirage showed off a brand new story trailer at Ubisoft Forward as well as a deep dive into the gameplay. Going back to its roots, it will feature much lesser RPG elements and more focus on classic stealth-based gameplay. The gameplay showed the new parkour features, including a new mechanic of pillar traversing. Certain utility weapons such as smoke bombs, blow darts, and the legendary hidden blade were shown. The swordplay in the game looks fluid and seamless as dispatching enemies isn’t a task anymore. While the story trailer shows Basim’s induction into the creed as well as his origins. Basim even gets his own eagle, called Enkidu.
