Arguably one of the biggest platform releases of the last generation, Insomniac Games Marvel’s Spider-Man series for PlayStation 4 and 5 has gained love and recognition for revitalizing the superhero genre and providing a fresh take on the web-slinger.
It wasn’t a no-brainer when Sony decided to bring them over to PC by announcing the remastered PlayStation 5 version releasing on August 12, 2022, with Spider-Man: Miles Morales launching in Fall 2022.
This is the first time the web-slinger is making his comeback on the platform, the last game being 2018’s The Amazing Spider-Man.

Sony announced the news at PlayStation’s State of Play stream event, which showcases all the upcoming games on either the PlayStation platform or PC.

That, in particular, gave birth to a lot of speculation for a PlayStation game heading on PC, which turned out to be Marvel’s Spider-Man.

Though Sony didn’t share details regarding the PC-specific features, Nixxes is helping Insomniac Games port the game on PC, with full mouse and keyboard support, standard PC-specific features, and ray-tracing for both the games.
Sony also confirmed that the games will release with the main story and their respective DLC and that they’ll share more near the launch.
The announcement also didn’t confirm the platforms, though, given their past release history, it is safe to assume that the game will launch on Steam and Epic Games Store, alongside NVIDIA Geforce NOW.
