Rumors suggest that Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, is working on a third game. Both games, capture the concept of a single-player game, flawlessly cementing a legacy for the genre. Respawn Entertainment has started hiring employees to work on their third game effectively, making Star Wars Jedi, a trilogy, as of now.
The games were a huge financial success for EA, as they sold over 10 million copies for just the first game. EA looks forward to funding its possible final Jedi title. Since the last two games weren’t terrible we can assume that the third game will be in good hands.
What do we know about the new Star Wars Jedi sequel?
Reddit user u/Hard2DaC0re has posted in the subreddit, r/GamingLeaksAndRumors about a job opening for a Principal Game Writer on LinkedIn. Their description states that they are looking for someone who is well aware of the Star Wars setting.
They should be likely to share their expertise on creating a Star Wars game in a fun action-adventure third-person setting. This is a senior position that requires expertise in writing AAA games and a strong passion for Star Wars.

Senior VFX artist roles were among the other job postings that were accessible. The release of the third game may be delayed, considering that Jedi Survivor released in 2023. This new title is still in its early phases of development. Hence, it won’t be available for a few more years. Respawn and EA are working together on three different Star Wars games, with one of them being the next Jedi game.

However, Jedi Survivor took only three years to release after its’ very successful prequel. It could be safe to assume that the next game can also come out in 2026 or 2027. We can look forward to an announcement, in the next few years’ Xbox Showcase.
